Michael Siomos

Michalis Siomos holds a Piano diploma with the grade of Excellent by unanimous vote, and a diploma in Advanced Harmony with the grade of Excellent, from the “Andreas Nikitas” Conservatory of Peristeri, where he studied under Anastasia Boua and Sideris Charisis respectively. 

He maintains an active presence as a musician and educator, with particular focus on classical and contemporary piano, music theory, harmony, improvisation, and accompaniment. He has also taken part in musical ensembles and concerts with a repertoire ranging from jazz, laiko, and rebetiko to Greek and foreign rock and pop. 

He has collaborated as a pianist in literary and poetry events, as well as with the publishing house “Agkyra,” and has taken part in musical performances and tributes to significant Greek composers such as Mikis Theodorakis, Stavros Xarchakos, Manos Hadjidakis, and Stavros Kougioumtzis, also undertaking orchestration and musical direction. 

He has teaching experience at conservatories and in private lessons, teaching classical and contemporary piano, music theory, solfège, harmony, and the history and morphology of music. He also has specialized experience accompanying students in diploma and degree examinations, as well as in chamber music and concertos. 

He served in the Hellenic Air Force Band as a trumpeter and pianist, taking part in numerous official musical events and concerts throughout Greece. 

Alongside piano, he is an active trumpeter and a member of the Petroupoli Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra. As part of his further artistic development, he has attended improvisation lessons in contemporary and jazz music with pianist Giannis Papadopoulos, and has participated in an ensemble of the Professional Jazz Program at LAB Music Education, gaining further experience in contemporary jazz practice and ensemble-level musical collaboration. 

As an educator, he places emphasis on developing both technique and musicality, combining solid theoretical training with practical application, improvisation, and exposing students to different musical idioms.
