Maria Deletze
Born and raised in Piraeus, she began her artistic journey at a very young age through classical dance. Along the way, she discovered musical theatre, which has been a central part of her artistic career since 2010. It was through musical theatre that her three great passions came together: voice, movement, and acting.
She studied Musical Theatre at Sia Koskina’s Professional Musical Theater Performance (P.M.T.P.) school at G.V. Fakanas Art Conservatory (2010–2013). In 2022, she was selected to participate in the Musical Theater Intensive Seminar at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Her artistic training and experience have been closely connected from an early stage with her interest in the human body and its function. Alongside her musical theatre studies, she studied Physiotherapy at the University of West Attica, graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Her knowledge of anatomy, movement, breathing, and physical function enriches her approach to voice and artistic education.
She received training in vocal pedagogy at the postgraduate training department of the National Conservatory with Panos Dimas (2022), as well as in the Alexander Technique (2021) and Voice Physiotherapy (2025), completing the Manual Therapy for Voice and Swallowing Disorders course with Walt Fritz, organized by the Panhellenic Association of Speech and Language Therapists.
Since 2020, she has been teaching voice to actors and aspiring drama school students. At the same time, wishing to further expand her musical training, she attended the professional Jazz/Pop Music program at LAB Music Education (2023–2026), studying with accomplished musicians and teachers. Upon completing her studies in 2026, she began collaborating with LAB Music Education schools as a vocal teacher.
As a singer, she has collaborated with artists including Eleonora Zouganeli, Marina Satti, and Leonidas Marantis, among others.
As an actress, singer, and performer, she has participated in major theatrical and musical theatre productions at venues including the National Theatre of Greece, Pallas Theatre, Piraeus Municipal Theatre, Hellenic Cosmos, and others. Her repertoire includes musicals such as The Sound of Music, Cats, and Evita, as well as the musical theatre production The Man Who Laughs, based on the novel by Victor Hugo, with music composed and directed by Thodoris Abazis.
Today, the voice is at the heart of her artistic and educational work. Her stage experience, musical training, and knowledge of the human body come together to shape an approach to vocal teaching that views the voice as a living and complex instrument of expression—one that emerges from the relationship between vocal technique, physical function, musicality, and interpretation. Her teaching places particular emphasis on preventing vocal strain and creating a free, creative, and enjoyable learning experience.
