Education & Musical Training

Christos Chliouras (b. 1993) is a graduate of the Alimos Music School and a senior student at the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), specializing in Music Acoustics and Audio Technology.

As part of his studies, he participated in the Erasmus program at the Sonic Arts Research Centre (S.A.R.C.) in Northern Ireland (2017). He has also completed advanced studies in Harmony and Counterpoint with highest honors at the Glyfada Conservatory (under Ioannis Terzakis).

He has received extensive drum training at recognized institutions such as the Argyroupoli Municipal Percussion School and Lab Music Education, studying with Andreas Nikolis, Marios Ioannou, and Michalis Kapilidis.

Additionally, he has attended seminars and clinics with internationally renowned drummers including Gavin Harrison, Mike Mangini, Mark Guiliana, Tony Royster Jr., and Dom Famularo

Performance & Artistic Activity

Christos has been actively performing as a drummer since 2010, taking part in bands and musical projects across a wide range of styles, including ska, heavy rock, alternative rock, pop, and soul/funk.

He has appeared in numerous live venues and festivals, such as Schoolwave, building strong stage experience and musical versatility.

As a session drummer, he has collaborated with artists such as Michalis Rakintzis, while in recent years he maintains active collaborations with Idra Kayne, Vasiliki Michalopoulou, and the award-winning youth choir Rosarte.

Teaching Approach & Experience

Since 2016, Christos has been actively teaching drums, working with students of all ages and levels.

He has taught at institutions including the Conservatory of the Franco-Hellenic School Jeanne d’ Arc, the ''New Conservatory'' of Alimos, and the Conservatory “Art & Creation.”

In his lessons, he focuses on building solid technique, musicality, and a genuine love for rhythm, adapting his approach to each student’s needs and goals, while keeping the learning process engaging and creative.
