Spyros Georgantas (Spy Das)
Music is a way of expression, communication, and creation. My goal is for each student to discover their own personal voice through the instrument.
EDUCATION
He studied electric guitar in the Professional Program at Lab Music Education and is a graduate of RGT (Registry of Guitar Tutors) of the London College of Music, holding Music Performance Grades 1–8 (with distinction) and Popular Theory Grades 6, 7, 8 (with distinction).
He has studied guitar, theory, harmony, and orchestration, and has attended seminars and masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Vinnie Moore (UFO), Mattias IA Eklundh (Freak Kitchen), Femi Temowo (Amy Winehouse, The Roots), Giorgos Kalavrezos, Grigoris Ntanis, Giorgos Georgiadis, Michalis Kapilidis, Alexandros Flouros, Giorgos Dafnos, and Panagiotis Krampis.
PERFORMANCES / COLLABORATIONS
He has been active in the music industry since the age of 18, performing in numerous live shows, recordings, and studio productions. He is a guitarist and vocalist for The Vulcan Itch and Mama Sings Fire (featuring Penelope Anastasopoulou), and has previously been a member of Blame Kandinsky and Citizen Jim.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading artists from the Greek and international music scene, including Tamta, Dimos Anastasiadis, Stefanos Korkolis, Michalis Tzouganakis, Gergo Borlai, Horacio “El Negro” Hernández, Richard Spaven, Mike Dolbear, and George Kollias.
In January 2020, he participated in the tribute concert dedicated to Giannis Spathas of Socrates Drank The Conium, alongside the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
He has been active in music education for the past 15 years, teaching electric guitar to students of all ages and levels. His teaching approach is tailored to each student’s needs and goals, combining technical development with musical expression and creativity. In addition, he has authored an electronic educational book titled The Hybrid Code: 15 Licks for Melodic, Rhythmic & Technical Mastery, based on the hybrid picking technique. It includes 15 musical phrases inspired by this approach, aiming to develop phrasing on the electric guitar.
