Marianna Papathanasiou

STUDIES

Marianna Papathanasiou comes from Thessaloniki, is based in Athens, and travels throughout Greece with her music. She studied Acting at the Department of Theatre of the School of Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In Athens, she completed her studies in jazz vocals at Athens Conservatoire on scholarship. She also plays the flute and holds training and certifications as a Vocal Coach.

COLLABORATIONS

Although she has spent less than a decade on the Greek music scene, she has already built important collaborations with remarkable artists, both live on stage and in discography. Particularly notable is her long-standing artistic partnership with Stamatis Kraounakis, her duet collaboration with Dakis, as well as collaborations with contemporary artists distinguished in their own genres, such as Stathis Drogosis, Kostis Maraveyas, Spyros Grammenos, and Giorgos Papageorgiou with Polkar, as well as Chatzifragketa and others.

Marianna stands out for her immediacy and theatricality, both in her music and in her stage presence.

DISCOGRAPHY

Her first recording projects were alongside Stamatis Kraounakis and with her band Marianna & the Dizzy Breezes, performing covers and original songs such as Kokkina Gyalia, Espresso, and Pes Pos M’ Antamoses.

Since then, she has released three personal singles: Ela Pio Konta, Therino, and Pergamonto.

In April 2026, she released her first personal album, Eimai Esy, featuring music and lyrics written by herself, released by Anima by Stay Independent.

EDUCATION

She teaches vocal training at Lab Music Education in the areas of Pangrati and Nea Smyrni. She also has teaching experience in music and movement education, theatrical play, and actor preparation at tZENerale Acting Studio and other institutions.
