Kallistratos Drakopoulos
He began his musical studies with classical piano when he was 6 years old and turned to Drums and Jazz Piano at 14.
He studied with Yannis Stavropoulos, George Kontrafouris, Vasilis Rakopoulos and later moved to Los Angeles to study at the LA Music Academy (LACM).
He stayed in Los Angeles for another 6 years where he collaborated with a multitude of musicians and artists in multiple musical genres, from Jazz, Rock, Pop, Reggae and with names such as Regie Dozier (Jamiroquai), Phillip Giffin (Hollywood Producer/writer), Mike Tucci (Metallica, Pearl Jam), Brian Hardin, Nick Mancini, Mike Laundau, Philip Bynoe (Steve Vai's band), Mike Miller (Chick Corea's band), Hamilton Price, Cory Philips, Αmberside, Derek Frank, Andrew Synoweic, Andrew Cambell, Chris Roy, Noush Skaugen.
He now lives and works in Athens where he has collaborated with: Dionysios Savvopoulos, Foivos Delivorias, Christos Thivaios, Miltos Paschalidis, Thanos Mikroutsikos, Lavrentis Machairitsas, Panos Mouzourakis, Anna Vissy and many others.
He has been teaching for 15 years at LAB MUSIC EDUCATION Athens, both individually and in the school's professional program. He has also attended numerous pedagogical seminars on teaching and the correct transfer of information from teacher to student.
He has published three educational online courses for Drums, as well as mini-series of free educational material on youtube.
