George Tsourapis

Perfect is the enemy of the good

Born in Athens in 1981.
 He began playing the electric and classical guitar at the age of 15. In 2005 he received a degree in classical guitar from the Kodaly Conservatory with a grade of excellent unanimous. In 2008 he obtained a degree in harmony from the same conservatory, with professor Yiannis Giannakos. In the same year he received the soloist diploma in classical guitar, from the National Conservatory with professor Elena Papandreou and a grade of excellent unanimous and A prize. In 2010 he was accepted with a scholarship to the famous guitar class of Oscar Ghiglia at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy. In 2011 he successfully passed the final grades of the London College of Music in electric guitar.
He is also a graduate of the Department of Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He has actively participated in master classes and workshops with very important guitarists, including Roland Dyens, Oscar Ghiglia, and Al Di Meola. He has taught guitar in various conservatories in Athens and the region.
He has collaborated both in live performances and on recordings with important Greek musicians.
Since 2024 he has organized and coordinated the five-month weekly course entitled TECHNIQUE FOR LIFE, which is aimed at advanced and professional guitarists and concerns the perfection of the electric guitar technique.
