Elvira Voutsina

Elvira Voutsina is a vocal and piano teacher and a professional singer.
She was born in 1980 in Athens, Greece, and spent a large part of her childhood and adolescence in Los Angeles, USA, where she took her first steps in singing at the age of six.
Back in Athens, she studied piano, music theory and harmony at the National Conservatory of Athens with Maria Papagiannaki (piano and classical singing) and became a member of the Children's and Youth Choir of the National Conservatory of Athens under the direction of conductor and composer Georgios Paleokastritis. She participated in national competitions, earning several distinctions, and took part in major tours and performances dedicated to the works of composer Manolis Kalomiris.
In 1998, she collaborated with composer Giannis Spanos and continued her vocal studies with Giorgos Paleokastritis, participating in various recording projects.
In 2002, she graduated from the British Council – University of Cambridge with a degree in English Literature. She subsequently attended seminars on teaching the English language through music and singing, as well as seminars in Special Education, and collaborated with well-known language schools in Athens.
In the following years, she continued her vocal studies with Lucia Fratsea and later with Tania Kikidi.
From 2013 to 2019, she lived in Heraklion, Crete, where she attended vocal lessons with Konstantina Palli at LAB Music Education.
Since 2014, she has been performing live as a professional vocalist, collaborating with various artists.
From 2014 to 2019, she was the lead vocalist of The Muffins, establishing herself as a funk/soul performer on numerous stages. She later became the lead singer of Jack Nicholson and Bats In The House, performing at various music festivals.
Over the years, she has written and recorded numerous deep house and soul tracks, including Rain or Shine, which was released by Plasteline Recordings & Publishing in Germany.
In 2019, she performed the title song for the short film Rules of Hospitality by Konstantina Palli. The song, with music and lyrics by Giannis Vardas, received the Best Original Song award at the international Dialog Film Festival.
In 2025, she attended seminars on Vocal Technique and Performance with Panos Dimas and is currently completing her studies at the PDVS Academy (Panos Dimas Voice Studies).
In recent years, she has been teaching vocals and piano at LAB Music Education in Heraklion, Crete, where she has also undertaken the coordination and direction of both the Children's Choir and the Adult Choir.
With extensive teaching experience, she continues to inspire enthusiasm and creativity in her students. She has also delivered vocal seminars on topics including Breath Support, Resonance, The Art of Phrasing, Tone, Emotion & Performance.
