Dimitris Bikos

Above all, music is communication — a continuous exchange through which we grow together, both as musicians and as human beings.

Dimitris Bikos is an active electric bass player with studies alongside Gary Willis, as well as formal training in classical music theory and harmony, holding degrees in Harmony and Fugue. He began his musical studies with Giotis Kiourtsoglou and later attended jazz harmony and improvisation courses at the “Conservatorio de Musica de Badalona” in Spain.

He has participated in international recordings and live performances with projects such as Planeta Imaginario and Machakachakras, while in Greece he has collaborated with notable artists including Evangelos Bountounis (“200 Guitars”), Jenny Kapadai, ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra and Eleonora Zouganeli in concerts, recordings and theatrical productions.

Since 2012, he has been teaching electric bass, applying the Fingerboard Harmony method taught to him by Gary Willis. At the same time, he composes music in a jazz–fusion style and continues his studies on double bass.
